Description
Connect WordPress to Lemon Squeezy
Codersly Checkout Free is a lightweight Lemon Squeezy API connection plugin for WordPress.
It provides a simple WordPress admin interface where store administrators can save their Lemon Squeezy connection details and confirm that the supplied API key can access the configured Lemon Squeezy store.
The plugin is designed to work as the connection layer required by Codersly Checkout Pro.
What the Free Version Does
Codersly Checkout Free includes the essential tools required to prepare your website for the Pro checkout gateway.
Functional Free Features
- Save a Lemon Squeezy API key securely in WordPress.
- Save the corresponding Lemon Squeezy Store ID.
- Save a webhook signing secret for later use by Codersly Checkout Pro.
- Enable or disable the test-mode preference used by Pro.
- Test whether the API key can access the configured Lemon Squeezy store.
- Display a clear connection-success or connection-error message.
- Keep existing credentials safely stored during plugin deactivation.
- Provide direct access to the Lemon Squeezy sign-in page.
- Display informational previews of the features available in Pro.
- Use a clean, responsive and tab-based WordPress admin interface.
Simple API Connection Test
After entering the API key and Store ID, administrators can click Test Lemon Squeezy Connection.
The plugin sends an authenticated request to Lemon Squeezy and verifies whether the supplied API key can access the selected store.
This makes it easier to identify an incorrect API key, Store ID or account configuration before enabling the Pro checkout gateway.
Pro Feature Previews
The WordPress dashboard includes Gateway, Mappings, Logs, Advanced Features and License tabs.
In the Free version, these sections are informational placeholders. They explain the additional capabilities available after Codersly Checkout Pro is installed and licensed.
No disabled payment-processing implementation or hidden premium runtime is included in the Free ZIP.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does the Free plugin accept WooCommerce payments?
No. Version 1.0.2 only stores Lemon Squeezy connection details and tests API access. Payment and checkout processing are included exclusively in Codersly Checkout Pro.
Why are Gateway, Mappings and Logs visible?
These are informational placeholder screens that explain the available Pro features. The Free plugin does not include their functional implementation.
Does the Free ZIP contain disabled Pro payment code?
No. The payment gateway, hosted checkout, mapping database, webhook processing, Checkout Blocks support, logging and advanced synchronization code are contained in the separate Pro package.
Is WooCommerce required?
WooCommerce is not required for the Free API connection test. WooCommerce is required when Codersly Checkout Pro is installed for payment processing.
Is a Lemon Squeezy account required?
Yes. A valid Lemon Squeezy account, Store ID and API key are required to test the connection.
What is the webhook signing secret used for?
The Free plugin stores the secret for Codersly Checkout Pro. The Pro plugin uses it to verify signed payment-related webhook requests.
Will my settings be removed when the plugin is deactivated?
No. Saved API settings are retained so the plugin can be reactivated safely and remain compatible with Pro.
Does Free send customer or order information to Lemon Squeezy?
No. Free does not create checkouts or process WooCommerce orders. Only the administrator-requested API connection test is performed.
