Codersly Courier Pro Documentation

Codersly Courier Pro is the premium operational extension for the free Codersly Courier WordPress plugin. It is designed for businesses that want to launch and operate their own courier, parcel-delivery, or local logistics service.

The system connects administrators, branches, merchants, customers, pickup riders, and delivery riders through structured parcel workflows and role-based frontend dashboards.

Important: Codersly Courier Pro is not a third-party courier API integration. It is a standalone courier-management system for running your own courier business from WordPress.

Use the latest stable release of WordPress and keep both Codersly Courier Free and Pro updated during the active license period.

Installation

Step 1: Install Codersly Courier Free

  1. Download the free plugin from the Codersly website or the WordPress Plugin Directory when available.
  2. Go to WordPress Dashboard → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
  3. Upload the Codersly Courier Free ZIP file.
  4. Click Install Now.
  5. Click Activate Plugin.

Step 2: Install Codersly Courier Pro

  1. Go to WordPress Dashboard → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
  2. Upload the Codersly Courier Pro ZIP file received after purchase.
  3. Click Install Now.
  4. Click Activate Plugin.
  5. Open Codersly Courier → License.
  6. Enter the purchase code or license key and activate the license.
Activate the free/base plugin before activating Pro. Pro depends on the parcel foundation, database, and core workflow provided by Codersly Courier Free.

License Activation

Your Codersly Courier Pro purchase includes a one-year license from the original purchase date.

Activate the License

  1. Go to WordPress Dashboard → Codersly Courier → License.
  2. Enter your purchase code or license key.
  3. Click the verification or activation button.
  4. Wait for the successful activation confirmation.
  5. Refresh the Codersly Courier menu if Pro modules do not appear immediately.

License Includes

  • One year of license activation
  • One year of product updates
  • One year of security and compatibility improvements
  • One year of newly released Pro features
  • One year of customer support

Validate or Refresh the License

If the license is active but Pro features remain locked, return to the License page and use the available validation or refresh option. Then clear the WordPress and browser cache.

Deactivate the License

Deactivate the license before moving it from the current website to another eligible installation or before permanently replacing the domain.

After the One-Year License Expires

The version already installed on a previously activated website may continue to operate. However, an active license is required for future updates, support, new downloads, and activation on another website.

License renewal is optional after the first year, but renewal is recommended to continue receiving security, compatibility, feature, and support updates.

Initial Setup

Complete the following setup before accepting live parcel requests.

Recommended Setup Order

  1. Install and activate Codersly Courier Free.
  2. Install and activate Codersly Courier Pro.
  3. Activate the one-year Pro license.
  4. Configure the courier company profile and contact information.
  5. Configure currency, weight unit, dimension unit, and delivery-charge settings.
  6. Create active courier branches.
  7. Create or approve branch managers.
  8. Create or approve pickup and delivery riders.
  9. Create or approve merchant accounts.
  10. Review the automatically created frontend pages.
  11. Test one complete parcel workflow before going live.

Before Going Live

  • Test customer, merchant, branch, and rider logins
  • Test Add Parcel and Pick & Drop requests
  • Confirm branch routing and rider assignment
  • Confirm live delivery-charge calculation
  • Test parcel tracking from a logged-out browser

Repair Missing Pages

If a page has been deleted or its shortcode is missing, open the Codersly Courier frontend-pages section and use the available Create / Repair Pro Pages action.

The repair process should append a missing shortcode without replacing customized page content.

Administrator Dashboard

Administrators control the complete courier network from the WordPress dashboard.

Branch Dashboard

Each branch manager receives a dedicated frontend dashboard containing only the branchs operational responsibilities.

  • Confirm or correct the destination branch
  • Prepare and dispatch cross-branch parcels

Standard Branch Workflow

Pickup Request → Pickup Rider Assigned → Picked Up → Origin Branch Received → Dispatched → Destination Branch Received → Delivery Rider Assigned → Out for Delivery → Delivered

Merchants do not select riders. Pickup and final-delivery rider selection remain controlled by the relevant courier branches.

Merchant Dashboard

Approved merchants manage parcel bookings, tracking, COD balances, and withdrawal requests through a dedicated frontend dashboard.

Merchant Parcel Form

The merchant enters the receiver information, delivery address, parcel weight, COD amount, optional order reference, and relevant notes. The delivery charge appears below the weight field.

The merchant cannot select a pickup rider or delivery rider. Branch staff assign riders according to the parcel workflow.

Merchant Pick & Drop

Pick & Drop is used when the parcel must be collected from a custom pickup address and delivered to a different destination address.

What Happens After Submission?

  1. The request is sent to the merchants origin branch.
  2. The origin branch reviews the pickup address.
  3. The origin branch selects and assigns a pickup rider.
  4. The pickup rider collects the parcel.
  5. The origin branch receives and processes the parcel.
  6. The parcel is routed to the destination branch when required.
  7. The destination branch assigns the final delivery rider.
  8. The delivery rider delivers the parcel to the receiver.
Pick & Drop does not contain a merchant rider-selection option. All rider assignments are completed by branch staff.

Customer Dashboard

Registered customers receive a frontend dashboard for viewing parcels they have sent or are expecting to receive.

Customer Registration

Customers can register from the Courier Account page when customer registration is enabled. After successful registration, the system can sign the user in and redirect them to the appropriate portal.

Use a unique email address for each customer account. If an account or application already exists, the system should display the current account or review status instead of creating a duplicate request.

Pickup and Delivery Rider Dashboard

Riders receive a mobile-friendly frontend dashboard containing only tasks assigned to them.

The booked receiver name and the actual person who received the parcel are stored separately.

Parcel Workflow

Standard Operational Flow

  1. Pending / Pickup Requested: The parcel request is received.
  2. Pickup Assigned: The origin branch assigns a pickup rider.
  3. Picked Up: The rider confirms parcel collection.
  4. Origin Received: The origin branch receives the parcel.
  5. In Transit: The parcel is dispatched to another branch when required.
  6. Destination Received: The destination branch receives the parcel.
  7. Delivery Assigned: The destination branch assigns a delivery rider.
  8. Out for Delivery: The rider starts the final delivery.
  9. Delivered: The receiver or another person receives the parcel.
  10. Completed: Branch-side operational completion is recorded when applicable.

Same-Branch Delivery

If the origin and destination are handled by the same branch, unnecessary inter-branch transit steps can be skipped and the parcel can proceed to the delivery desk.

Unassigned Parcels

If a valid origin or destination branch cannot be identified, the parcel should remain in an unassigned queue until an administrator or branch manager assigns the correct route.

Avoid manually jumping between unrelated statuses. Use the operational workflow actions so the parcel status, Pro workflow status, timeline, and financial records remain synchronized.

Delivery Charges

Codersly Courier Pro supports weight-based delivery-charge calculation with separate same-branch and cross-branch pricing.

Merchant Live Charge Display

When a merchant enters the parcel weight, the calculated delivery charge appears directly below the weight field.

If the final route has not yet been confirmed, the displayed amount may be marked as estimated. The system recalculates the final delivery charge after routing is confirmed.

Decimal Weight

Decimal weights can be calculated using the next full weight unit. For example, a 2.3 kg parcel may be charged using the configured 3 kg rate.

The server recalculates the charge during submission. Editing a displayed amount in the browser should not override the server-calculated delivery charge.

Parcel Tracking

Customers, merchants, administrators, branches, and operational users can review parcel progress through a structured tracking timeline.

Newest Update First

Cash on Delivery and Merchant Withdrawals

Merchant Balance

The merchant balance should be based on the actual collected and eligible COD amount according to the courier companys settlement rules.

Withdrawal Requests

  1. The merchant opens the balance or withdrawal section.
  2. The merchant enters an eligible withdrawal amount.
  3. The system validates the available balance and minimum withdrawal setting.
  4. The request is submitted for administrative review.
  5. The administrator approves, rejects, or completes the request.

Withdrawal History

The compact merchant withdrawal table displays the essential columns: Date, Amount, and Status.

Always verify COD collection and settlement records before approving a merchant withdrawal.

Proof of Delivery, Failed Delivery, and Returns

Proof of Delivery

After successful delivery, the rider can record the actual received-by name, actual COD collected, payment status, payment method, and delivery time.

The original booked receiver name remains unchanged and is stored separately from the actual person who received the parcel.

Failed Delivery

When delivery cannot be completed, the rider can record:

  • Failure reason
  • Supporting note
  • Attempt date and time
  • Preferred next-delivery date
  • COD collection status

Re-Delivery or Return

Branch managers and administrators can review failed parcels and decide whether to arrange another delivery attempt or begin the return workflow.

Troubleshooting

Pro features are not appearing

  • Confirm that Codersly Courier Free is installed and active.
  • Confirm that Codersly Courier Pro is installed and active.
  • Open Codersly Courier → License and validate the license.
  • Clear the site cache, object cache, CDN cache, and browser cache.
  • Refresh the WordPress dashboard.

Frontend portal page is blank or missing

  • Confirm that the page contains the correct shortcode.
  • Use the Pro frontend-page repair action.
  • Go to Settings → Permalinks and click Save Changes.
  • Check whether the page builder or theme template hides shortcode output.

A merchant or customer sees the wrong dashboard

  • Check the users WordPress role.
  • Confirm that the merchant or branch application has been approved.
  • Sign out, clear cookies, and sign in again.
  • Confirm the correct portal page exists.

A parcel does not appear in the Branch Dashboard

  • Confirm that the parcel has an origin branch.
  • Confirm that the destination branch is active and valid.
  • Review the Unassigned parcel queue.
  • Run any available parcel metadata or routing repair tool.

Delivery charge does not update below the weight

  • Confirm that same-branch and cross-branch rates are configured.
  • Confirm that JavaScript is not blocked by an optimization plugin.
  • Clear page and browser cache.
  • Test with another theme temporarily if the form script is being overridden.

Email notifications are not received

  • Confirm that status emails are enabled.
  • Install and configure a reliable SMTP plugin.
  • Check the spam folder and email logs.
  • Confirm that the recipient email address is correct.

Already registered message appears after submission

  • Check whether the original account or application was already created successfully.
  • Sign in with the submitted email address.
  • Review the application status from the administrator dashboard.
  • Clear stale page cache before submitting the form again.

Can the plugin record partial COD?

Yes. A delivery can record full, partial, or unpaid COD and the actual collected amount.

Is the receiver name different from Received By?

Yes. Receiver Name is the person entered during booking. Received By is the person who actually accepted the parcel at delivery.

How long is the Pro license valid?

The Codersly Courier Pro license is valid for one year from the original purchase date.

Will the plugin stop working after the license expires?

The installed version may continue to operate on a previously activated website. An active license is required for updates, support, new downloads, and activation on another website.

Is renewal required?

Renewal is optional after the first year, but it is required to continue receiving updates, compatibility improvements, new Pro features, and customer support.
